How to Install Windows 11?

Microsoft released windows 11 in 2021. It is the latest in the Windows family of operating systems. Windows 11 is available in both a free and paid version. The free version is limited to a single user and does not include some of the features of the paid version.

To install windows 11 manually from USB, download windows 11 image free from Microsoft website, make a windows 11 bootable USB by using Rufus or CMD, then plug USB flash drive to your PC and Restart it, then press F12 (for Dell Product) continue installation process as explain below.

How to Check Windows 11 Compatibility?

Windows 11 is quite different from previous version windows in terms of system requirements. All windows 10 PCs may not meet the minimum system requirement of windows 11.

So, there are two easy ways explained here, you can check and make sure your device is compatible with windows 11.

Windows 11 is now available. If you are running an older version of Windows, you might already receive an update to upgrade to windows 11 or you can install Windows 11. Here are some of the system requirements for Windows 11:

  • A PC with a processor that is 1GHz or faster compatible with 64-processor or system on Chip (SOC)
  • At least 4 GB of RAM but more RAM is much better
  • 64 GB of free storage space
  • UEFI and Secure Boot capable.
  • A graphics card that supports DirectX 12 or higher
  • TPM version 2.0

How to Download Windows 11?

Typically, the windows 11 is not free but you can download it for free. visit Microsoft website, select multi-edition > click download > select language > click on 64-bit download.

How to create Windows 11 Bootable Media?

Now, you need to create windows 11 bootable media. The best and most useful tool to create bootable media is Rufus. So, visit Rufus Site. Scroll down to the download section and click on Rufus 3.18.

After Download is completed, just double click on it, its goanna open. Plug in your USB flash drive > select the windows 11 ISO that you have already downloaded > Leave the Partition scheme (GPT) and Target system (UEFI) as default > click on Start.

Installation Process of Windows 11

Clean install windows 11 on your PC. In this stage, you have bootable USB flash drive to install Windows 11. Laptop. Restart your PC and Common keys for accessing the Boot Menu are ESC, F2, F12 and F10. In my case, I am using Dell 5401, so I press F12. for rest of configuration follow the below steps:

  1. Select > Language, click >Next
  2. Click > Install Now
  3. If you don’t License Key 🗝 click > I don’t have product key
  4. Select > windows 11 Edition click > next
  5. Check > box and click > next
  6. select > Custom installation or you can choose to upgrade to windows 11
  7. Select > drive you want to install and click > Next
  8. You can complete rest of configuration as windows 10
  9. done!

After you install windows 11, you may feel that your PC is getting slower than before. So, you might want to speed up your Windows 11 computer. Clear your computer’s cache and cookies.
